Inventor Jerome Case founded the company of CASE in Racine, when he started the construction of threshing machines. Later the company gained recognition globally as the initial maker of steam engines for its agricultural application. Case grew their construction machinery business through different acquisitions, beginning with the American Tractor Corporation during the year 1957. Case merged with the company New Holland during 1999 and together they became CNH Global. This business became responsible for advertising several of the world's top brands of construction and agricultural machinery.
