Used Daewoo Dual Fuel Forklifts Escondido

Basic Fuel Types of Forklifts
Forklifts are powered lift trucks which are used in various kinds of industries to move heavy supplies and items. Forklifts are tough and reliable equipment which are necessary tools in construction and warehouse environments. Forklift units vary depending on the kind of fuel which is used to power the lift truck and the kind of work setting.

Electricity
Electric forklifts are recommended for work sites that have limited ventilation since they produce no exhaust fumes and are fairly quiet. They are designed to be powered by large, industrial-strength batteries. As the electric forklift batteries must be charging, the worksite would need a charging station. The batteries are tough and could be re-charged up to 1,500 times before they need to be replaced. The charging station must be situated in a ventilated area and include an emergency eyewash station and an acid spill kit.

Propane
Liquid propane powered forklifts are frequently utilized in modern industrial applications because propane has several benefits over diesel and electric. Propane models are cleaner to use than diesel-powered units. There is no down time required to recharge an industrial battery, and the cost of electricity is more than the cost of propane. A forklift propane tank could be refueled quickly and easily by changing out the empty tank with a full tank. Usually an off-site supplier refills the empty tank, making refueling very safe and efficient.

Gasoline and Gas
Gasoline and Diesel forklifts are the equipment of choice for outdoor applications and rough terrain. They are usually found on lumber yards and construction sites. Their disadvantages include odorous exhaust, relatively high fuel costs and relatively high maintenance needs. Their benefits include dependability in tough conditions and a longer lifespan compared to other units. Gasoline and diesel units must be refueled at a supply station on site that meets safety and health regulations.
