CareLift Equipment has been engineering and making quality rough terrain forklifts ever since the year 1962. Each day the company strives to deliver value and help all their consumers reach their objectives since they know the bottom line is reliability and performance.
There are 2 general kinds of boom lifts. These units are straight boom lifts and articulated boom lifts. Often, these units are powered hydraulically. Most commonly straight booms are the great alternative for tasks that require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machine could rotate three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom could be raised vertically to below horizontal. As the operator can steer and maneuver the vehicle while the boom is completely extended, it is a versatile machine. These models come in 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive, as well as diesel, propane or gas configurations.
The articulated boom lifts are used for jobs that need to reach up and over obstacles so as to gain access. These specialized lifts are used for jobs which are not easily carried out by straight telescopic booms. These lifts are practically like the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to move easily around any objects in the work site.
Several heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers so as to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is fully extended. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Correct training is necessary prior to operating boom lifts so as to guarantee the jobsite, the operator and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
The boom lift allows for jobs needing a lot of man power to be done in much less time. These machinery have changed the material handling industry and have greatly increased productivity.
